It’s necessary to wait till the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is resolved and only then establish Armenia-Turkey relations, said ARF (Armenian Revolutionary Federation) Dashnaktsutyun Armenian Cause Bureau Director Kiro (Giro) Manoyan, speaking to journalists today.
“For the complete neutralization [i.e. normalization] of Armenian-Turkish relations, it’s necessary for Armenia to retract its signature [on the Armenia-Turkey Protocols], but in today’s state, Armenia has put itself under pressure. It turns out that Turkey has given nothing, but has received, while Armenia has received nothing, but has given,” he said, noting that now Turkey can make a statement, presenting itself as the main guarantor of security in the region.
According to Manoyan, the Armenia-Turkey Protocols resolved the issue of the legitimacy of Armenia’s government.
