The next bloody incident has taken place at the Armenian positions along the southeastern segment of the Nagorno Karabakh–Azerbaijan line of contact, in which four soldiers have died and an additional four have been wounded, and it’s odd that the necessary commander’s obligatory presence at the place of the incident is not referenced, notes a statement by the Armenian National Congress on the latest incident in Armenia’s armed forces.
“Lately, the number of dead through murder and ‘suicide’ in Armenian positions has exceeded by several times the number of dead from enemy fire, recalling days of chronic war. The only explanation in this case can be… completely exchanging regulatory relations with criminal relations,… inhumane treatment and cruel acts of humiliation of the strong to the weak, the superior to the subordinate, during which a few of the cases occasionally became available to the general public,” reads the statement.
HAK also believes that the sharp increase in the frequency and similarities of the incidents which resulted in the loss of human lives has long passed to the level of “cause for concern” and is a “SOS call” to the public. In the opposition group’s opinion, the public outcry to these incidents actually “disgusts” Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
“From a political point of view, we are dealing with a very dangerous reality, since Serzh Sargsyan thus actually obliges the appalling crimes taking place in the army and encourages their continuation, making it clear to the officers, ‘Do what you want, I am on your side’,” reads the statement, citing an evaluation by HAK leader Levon Ter-Petrossian.
The statement concludes with remarks that the main person responsible for all these events is Serzh Sargsyan.
“This process of criminal state and suicidal nation can prevent neither the officers responsible nor even relevant ministers with even the strictest form of punishment, especially when no hint of such an intention is detected. The situation as it is here, as it is all the other areas of life can be rectified only at the roots, by eliminating the bandit state and murdering regime, and establishing legitimate government and constitutional order. Today it is the duty and obligation of every citizen, as a guarantee for their own child’s life. Otherwise, the same trouble, today or tomorrow, can knock on anyone’s door, regardless of his office, position, or social status,” reads the statement.
