First Swine Flu Case in Georgia Recorded This Year

The first case of swine flu this season was recorded in Tbilisi today. 

Having trouble with her breathing, the 26-year-old woman who was diagnosed went to see her doctor two days ago. After undergoing the necessary examination, it was revealed that she has been infected with the swine flu virus. She was immediately moved to hospital and her current condition is stable, reports Georgia Online. 

A representative of Georgia’s Ministry of Health informed the press that “there is no danger of a pandemic flu in the country yet. The necessary measures have been taken; there is an adequate supply of medication in the country.”

According to information provided by the health ministry, there were 1,300 official cases of swine flu recorded in Georgia last year of which 33 were fatal.
