As reported by “Doctrine” Center for Military Studies journalists, 73 people in Azerbaijan’s defense and security bodies died a period of 11 months in 2010.
“18 of those were killed by enemy bullets; 12 committed suicide; 7 died from disease; 15 were victims of hazing; 1 died from frostbite; 17 died as a consequence of air and road traffic accidents and 3 from questionable circumstances,” reads the Center’s report.
The same report notes that over the same period, 82 Azerbaijani soldiers received bodily injuries and wounds: 18 from enemy bullets, 23 as a result of hazing, 2 from mine explosions and 39 as a result of car accidents.
