“I want to inform you that Minister of Justice Gevorg Danielyan was released [from his position] as a result of not properly performing his duties,” said RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan during a Government of Armenia session today.
The prime minister noted that it’s important to uphold ethical norms and the behavior of officials in all (government) departments.
“The head of the Service for Compulsory Enforcement [of Judicial Orders Mihran Poghosyan] committed a serious violation of the rules of ethics. The justice minister was assigned to publicly punish him for his behavior. Unfortunately, the minister didn’t fulfill this assignment, and, I believe, that is unacceptable. You will agree that the behavior of officials, especially with subordinates, has an essential significance. If we want our country to have a process of development that is included in government plans, much depends on the behavior of each of us. We must be strict toward our subordinates, consididering unacceptable such behavior that simply damages the public’s trust in us. From now on we will be very strict in this matter,” said Tigran Sargsyan.
Note that according to a notice posted yesterday on the justice ministry’s website, under a No. 234-A order by the Minister of Justice, disciplinary sanctions have been imposed on Chief Compulsory Enforcer of RA Judicial Orders M. Poghosyan.
