Further Changes in Ruling Circles Possible – Armenian MP

The Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) highly appreciates Gagik Beglaryan’s decision to resign, said Republican Party of Armenia parliamentary faction leader Galust Sahakyan at a press conference today.

He noted that at today’s HHK council meeting the party members are not going to discuss the issue of bringing a lawsuit against Gagik Beglaryan.

Replying to journalists’ question on how he could explain his party colleague Razmik Zohrabyan’s recent statement that it was necessary to bring a lawsuit against Gagik Beglaryan, he said:
“Our party is big and someone might have said such nonsense”.

Asked if he knew that Gagik Beglaryan had left the country having previously met with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Sahakyan said that he didn’t possess such information but could find out after the press conference.
He also mentioned that at HHK today’s meeting further changes in Armenian ruling circles could be discussed but excluded any changes to the legislative body.
