The president of ArmRosGazprom company Karen Karapetyan was nominated by the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) for the post of Yerevan Mayor. This information circulating recently in mass media was actually confirmed at HHK’s meeting ended up some hours ago.
Karapetyan’s nomination means that tomorrow at the meeting of Yerevan Council of Aldermen he will be elected as Mayor.
After the meeting of the ruling party it became known that Nerses Yeritsyan was dismissed from the position of Armenian Minister of Economy and this post will be taken up by Tigran Davtyan who is currently holding the post of Armenian Minister of Finance and who will in its turn be replaced by Central Bank Deputy Chief Vache Gabrielyan.
According to the circulating information, Gerasim Alaverdyan will be dismissed from the post of Armenian Minister of Agriculture in the next few days.
