Only with Russia’s support can the question of restoring Georgia’s territorial integrity be resolved, said former Georgian Parliamentary Chair, current leader of the Democratic Movement–United Georgia party Nino Burjanadze.
According to her, the current Georgian authorities have “no chance” of improving relations between Tbilisi and Moscow and addressing critical issues.
In a live broadcast on the Tbilisi-based “Palette” radio station, Burjanadze said if she came to power, she “would not elect a hostile position toward Russia, Europe or the US.”
“I’m not crazy like [Georgian President Mikheil] Saakashvili; I can and will protect Georgia’s interests,” said the opposition member.
