Tigran Karapetyan to Demand Early Presidential Elections

Speaking before a crowd of supporters gathered in front of the Matenadaran (Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts) in Yerevan, People’s Party of Armenia leader, ALM Holding President Tigran Karapetyan spoke of the demand for early presidential elections.

He noted that they can put forth that demand on Jan. 28. “On Jan. 28, we’ll invite them to order; Armenia is not a land to plow for them. We’ll say, ‘no,’ we’ll say, ‘it’s enough,’ we’ll say, ‘resign.’ On Jan. 28, we’ll say our decision,” he said, referring to certain opinions that some Armenian authorities come to Armenia simply to make money and not to improve the situation in the country.

During the rally today, also making speeches was National Assembly deputy Vardan Khachatryan, who proposed to announce the next rally as “a rally of Republic of Armenia citizens.”
