Armenia’s entry in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, Emmy and her team, decided to extend the deadline for submissions of song requests till Jan. 23, said Emmy herself, speaking to journalists in Yerevan today.
According to Emmy, she has already received numerous songs from foreign artists; for example, from Spain, Bulgaria and Switzerland. She has listened to the songs, she said; however, she declined to comment on them.
Emmy informed the press that she will perform in Eurovision with pop star, dancer Mihran. Emmy and her team have been in talks with Mihran, who will come to Armenia after Armenia’s entry for the song is chosen.
Recall, it had been announced earlier that, unlike in previous years, there would be no public competition to select the singer and Emmy would represent Armenia in the popular song contest this year; there would be, however, a competition for the song she will sing.
Concluding the press conference she called today, Emmy said, she’s going to ask for 2010 Junior Eurovision winner, Armenian contestant Vladimir Arzumanyan’s success to befall her as well.
