Foreign Affairs Ministry to Confirm Whether Armenians Among Domodedovo Victims

Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that it is looking into whether there were Republic of Armenia citizens among those dead or injured in the blast that occurred at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport.

As reported by the media, a huge blast, reportedly triggered by a suicide bomber, hit Moscow’s busiest airport Monday late afternoon, killing at least 35 people and injuring over 130.

The explosion occurred at the baggage claim area in the international arrivals section of the airport.

“According to available information, an explosion occurred at Domodedovo’s arrivals hall at 16:32 Moscow time,” a spokesperson for the Moscow inter-regional investigation department on transport of Russia’s Investigation Committee, Tatyana Morozova, told Itar-Tass news agency.
