Two years ago, political analysts were saying there were no grounds for early elections, but now new political analysts are speaking of its need and its prerequisites, said Armenian National Congress (HAK) coordinator Levon Zurabyan at a press conference in Yerevan today.
“No government would ever choose early elections, if it doesn’t see it as a chance to weaken the tension. If they take such a step, if will be considered as a measure imposed by other forces,” he said.
Zurabyan didn’t exclude the possibility that the current government might make concessions — in order to maintain its power.
“This is chess, we make our move, they make theirs. In chess, it is also accepted to make sacrifices,” he said.
