Armenia’s GDP Growth Second to Last Among CIS

According to Interstate Statistical Committee of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Armenia’s GDP increased by 2.6% in 2010.

The two states with the highest growth of GDP in the CIS were Uzbekistan (8.5%) and Turkmenistan (8%).

Belarus’ GDP in 2010 as compared to 2009 increased by 7.6%. In Kazakhstan and Moldova, the GDP increased by 7% (in 2010 as compared to 2009); in Tajikistan, by 6.5%; in Azerbaijan and Ukraine, 5%; and Russia, 4%. While in Kyrgyzstan, the GDP declined by 1.4% (in 2010 as compared to 2009).

The GDP in the CIS in 2010 on average grew by 4.5%.
