Closed and Difficult to Pass Roads in Armenia Due to Snowfall

As a result of last night’s snowfall, the Selim mountain pass and Madina–Verin Getashen roads in Gegharkunik marz (province) have become impassable, according to the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations’ Emergency Channel information center.

Also closed is the Yerevan-Sisian road in Syunik marz and the following roads in Shirak marz: Berdashen, Zarishat, Tavshut, Yeghnajur, Saragyugh, Sizavet, Mets Sepasar, Pokr Sepasar, Krasar, Hartashen, Aghvorik, Musayelyan, Kakavasar, and Sarahart.

In Aragatsotn marz at 11 am this morning, the following roads were closed: Nigavan, Tsoraglukh, Berkarat, Hnaberd, Geghadzor, Vardablur, and Tsaghkahovit.

As of 9 am this morning the following roads were difficult to pass: Spitak-Aparan and Alagyaz-Artik in Aragatsotn marz, Yelpin road in Vayots Dzor marz, Semyonovka road in Tavush marz and the road to Meghri in Syunik marz.
