Early this morning, at 4 am, renowned Armenian sculptor Davit Bejanyan, 67, died from a heart attack. He had been in the intensive care unit for the past 2 days.
Bejanyan was best known for his statue of Arno Babajanyan at the foot of Swan Lake in central Yerevan.
He leaves behind his wife, singer Nadezhda Sargsyan and daughter, singer Emmy, who will be representing Armenia in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
