Negative Atmosphere Created Around New Ombudsman: Opinion

There are already negative charges in society regarding Karen Andreasyan’s election to the position of RA Human Rights Defender, Armenia’s first human rights defender Larisa Alaverdyan told Epress.am.

“He is known in society through his TV broadcast, which has formed a certain negative charge in people, and second, upon his proposal, a law on mass media was approved by the political majority in the National Assembly, which was repeatedly criticized within various public circles, creating a negative atmosphere around Karen Andreasyan,” she said.
