On Mar. 11, the Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (IDHR) in Armenia will be screening the film “A Force More Powerful.”
“There have been and continue to be many revolutions in the world. Shouldn’t we get together and see how we can do it so it happens?” reads a statement on Facebook where organizers invite the public to the film screening.
“Screened will be the 20th century’s most important and least understood stories, how non-violent force overcame pressure and dictatorship in [among other stories] South Africa’s fight against apartheid and the Czech Republic’s [correction: Poland’s] Solidarity movement [on the right to have free trade unions],” reads the organizers’ statement.
Discussion will follow the screening of the three-hour documentary (though organizers note only one hour will be shown). The time of the event was not noted.
