Baku was not aware of talks aimed at improving Armenia-Turkey relations, said Azerbaijan’s deputy foreign minister Araz Azimov in an interview with CNN Turk.
According to him, Turkey made a mistake in not agreeing with Azerbaijan in the process of normalizing relations with Armenia.
“If Azerbaijan was informed early on of the start of normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey, the process could’ve gone in another direction. In addition, the protocols signed between Ankara and Yerevan in Zurich put talks on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement in a deadlock,” said the diplomat, reports 1news.az.
