Police have completed their work in school no. 95 in Tbilisi on Cholokashvili street, where an explosive device was found by the school’s security guard today. Upon examination, it was discovered that the grenade was actually one used for training and posed no threat. Police and security officials have already left the scene.
According to security guard Auto Chaladze, finding the grenade in one of the workrooms this morning, he picked it up and placed it outside on the street. The item seemed rather suspicious to passers-by who called the police.
According to the school’s former principal, the education ministry closed school no. 95 on Aug. 11 and joined it with school no. 81.
“All items were removed from the establishment, however, as can be seen, some things of the military department still remained,” he said.
