At 11 am on Apr. 2, a meeting-discussion being billed as a Heghaforum (“Revolution-Forum”) will take place at the American University of Armenia (AUA) in Yerevan.
“We, citizens of the Republic of Armenia, are concerned with our country’s present and future. In our country, fundamental human rights, security, and a dignified and free life are continuously violated. By choosing an indifferent, silent, passive and obedient attitude, we only contribute to the deepening of current problems. We invite those who share our concern to a civic Revolution-Forum, in order to mobilize forces and make real changes,” reads a statement published by the group on Facebook.
Organizers note that the working method of a civic forum is the principle of an open space. There are no speakers or predetermined topics. There will be moderators who will help to facilitate the process in the most efficient way. All participants will have equal opportunity to present their ideas, analyses and proposals.
