First president of the Republic of Armenia, Armenian National Congress (HAK) leader Levon Ter-Petrossian chaired today’s HAK political council meeting.
Discussed during the meeting were preparations for the Apr. 8 rally, and the need for serious mobilization was emphasized, HAK coordinator Levon Zurabyan told Epress.am. Speaking as well about recent infighting within opposition groups, the HAK representative said:
“The authorities are the target of our criticism, and we will do this job till the end and we will be involved in this [issue]. We will not deviate from criticizing anyone other than the authorities. And, I think, that the work of the opposition generally has to be that. If any political force is opposition or considers itself to be opposition, then it shouldn’t engage in criticizing the [Armenian National] Congress; it shouldn’t dedicate 90% of its time to criticizing HAK, thus showing what it’s actually involved [in doing],” he said.
