Ahead of Turkey’s parliamentary elections in June, deputies with the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), which has the third-largest number of seats in parliament (72 out of 550), released a video claiming that if the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), led by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, wins, the double-standard policy towards Kurds and Armenians will continue, and Azerbaijan “will again get hit in the back.”
The nationalists insist that if they win, “Karabakh will be liberated and the Azerbaijani flag will flutter there again.”
According to a poll conducted by Turkish agency Sonar, if parliamentary elections were to be held today, MHP would win 13.83% of the vote.
