We loved going to his classes: he was good at what he did, and his classes were really interesting, a Yerevan State Linguistic University named after V. Brusov (YSLU) student who had been taught by Narek Margaryan, a YSLU lecturer recently dismissed due to 1 incident of absence and 2 incidents of tardiness, told Epress.am earlier today.
Margaryan’s students, studying at the Faculty of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication, didn’t wish to identify themselves, but admitted to being sad that Margaryan was let go.
“It’s terribly sad: we liked him a lot, his classes were really good and all of us were out-of-sorts when we found out he was let go from work. Why, aren’t other lecturers late [to class]?” said the students.
Epress.am also spoke with students of other faculties who noted that there are always tardy lecturers.
“If it’s the first period, yeah, it happens that they’re about 10 minutes late — just like the students. Also, it depends on the lecturer: a lecturer who’s constantly late will be late; it’s in his or her nature, after all,” said one second-year student.
There were also students Epress.am spoke to who said their lecturers don’t come late to classes.
