Last night, precipitation and thunderstorms were felt everywhere in Armenia, with this manifesting to snow and winds of 20–25 m/s in the foothills and mountainous areas. In the provinces of Lori and Tavush, as well as in other mountainous regions, there was 15–20 cm of snow, while in the Ararat valley, temperatures dropped between +1 to +3 degrees Celsius, according to the Armenian Hydrometeorology and Monitoring State Service.
Tonight, atmospheric temperatures are expected to drop to -2 degrees Celsius in the Ararat, Tavush, and Syunik valleys, with surface temperatures closer to -2 to -3 degrees Celsius.
Temerpatures tonight are expected to be 0 degrees Celsius at 3 am; -1 degrees Celsisus at 4 am; then finally -2 degrees Celsius from 5–7 am, with northwest winds at 1–3 m/s.
Freezing temperatures will last 3 hours.
Armenia residents are being advised to protect their trees from frost starting from 3 am.
