While Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan directs members of his government to the villages, the Prosperous Armenia party (BHK) has returned to a “good old tradition”: distributing potato seeds in the regions, reports local daily Hraparak.
“Recall that BHK was distributing potatoes and twine also during the 2007 elections. Basically, though the ruling authorities are still discussing whether to back a single candidate in the elections or not, for members of the ruling parties, the pre-election period has begun — in typical competition. By the way, BHK members in no way want to participate [in elections] with a united list and do everything to go alone, but this is not the only determining issue for BHK ,” writes Hraparak today.
