Emmy, Armenia’s entry in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, today was welcomed by Orange at its flagship store where Emmy met with her fans and journalists. This was Emmy’s last meeting with her fans and journalists before leaving for Düsseldorf. Tomorrow Emmy will be in Germany to participate in the tryouts and get prepared for this big day, reads a press release issued by Orange Armenia.
During this meeting, local telecommunications provider Orange also presented the events and surprises it has prepared for the fans of Eurovision in May. Note, this is the second year that Orange is the Eurovision general partner.
Orange Armenia Marketing Director Aram Mkrtchyan said: “We are proud to support this contest in Armenia for already the second time. This is a very important contest that allows the most talented musicians to be known all over the Europe and in the same time it contributes to country’s image. This year with Orange’s support the Armenian representative to Eurovision had a number of promo tours to different European countries, and in Moldova she was received by Orange Moldova. I’m sure that due to all these visits and our joint efforts Armenia will gain high points.”
May 14, the day the Eurovision finals will be broadcast, will be unforgettable for the residents of Yerevan and Vanadzor with its new colors and various events. A “Eurovision” concert will be held in Yerevan in which the Armenian pop singers will perform, along with Armenia’s former representatives to Eurovision. In Vanadzor, before the start of the live broadcast of the contest, Vanadzor residents will be given the chance to participate in an open-air music event with participation of well-known DJs.
