Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan doesn’t rule out the possibility of military actions resuming in Nagorno-Karabakh, since “I can’t understand why Azerbaijan is delaying the negotiating process.”
“Apparently, Azerbaijan has plans associated with accumulating forces and means to unleash a new military adventure at the right moment.
“This is the wrong approach because events could unfold in two scenarios: the first, a total war and subsequent occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh, which is possible only in the case of total destruction of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. And the second, Azerbaijan’s defeat and the loss of their new territories. And in this case, Azerbaijan will protest the loss of another five, six or more territories. And then what? Again ceasefire, an agreement, ceasefire violations, a new war… All of these scenarios are not promising,” he said in a recent interview with Moskovskiye Novosti (“Moscow News”).
