Heritage Party Leader Calls Public Meeting

A public meeting called by Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovannisian is set to take place on May 21 at 12 pm in the Armenian government building.

Recall, from Mar. 15–30 of this year, Hovannisian was on a “Fast for Freedom” in Liberty Square, which he was dedicating to the 20th anniversary of the the Republic of Armenia and the “liberation of Artsakh.”

On the 7th day of his fast, Hovannisian  presented his and his party’s 15 demands, among them “Power to the people,” “No to a party state,” “The people are the country’s owner” and “No to injustice, poverty and emigration.”

Ending his fast, the opposition party leader said this was the first stage of the struggle and that he would speak about the second stage later.
