Armenia’s defense minister Seyran Ohanyan today welcomed US Ambassador to Armenia Marie Yovanovitch on the occasion of the end of her diplomatic mission in Armenia.
Ohanyan thanked the ambassador for her contribution towards the development of Armenia-US military cooperation and wished her success in her future diplomatic activity, according to a defense ministry statement issued today.
As previously reported, Yovanovitch will conclude her three-year tour as US Ambassador to Armenia in June this year.
“She will return to Washington D.C. to take up her new duties as Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Northern and Central Europe at the [US] Department of State,” spokesperson Taguhi Jahukyan had said earlier.
