Sardarapet civic movement members Tigran Khzmalyan and Garegin Chugaszyan have left for the US where they were invited as official guests at the May 28 reception organized by Policy Forum Armenia in Washington on the occasion of the independence of the First Republic of Armenia.
PFA, according to its website, is an independent professional non-profit association aimed at strengthening discourse on Armenia’s economic development and national security and through that helping to shape public policy in Armenia.
While in Washington, Khzmalyan and Chugaszyan will meet with representatives of the local Armenian community, among others.
From Jun. 2–10, the Sardarapat representatives will be in Los Angeles, where planned are public speeches and meetings with Armenian-American cultural, civic workers and Sardarapat supporters, reports the Sardarapat press service.
