Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan Train Begins Operating Daily Today

The “Armenia” train operated by the South Caucasus Railways CJSC has begun the Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan route today.

As previously reported, the route will be offered daily during the summer and there will be an additional train departing on Tuesdays and Fridays.

In order to reduce wait times and reserve their seats, passengers can purchase tickets through the Orion automated tickets sales and reservation system (available at the Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri and Armavir stations).

According to official statistics, 16,263 passengers boarded the Armenia train in 2009 as compared to 40,304 passengers in 2010.
