Professional German boxer of Armenian descent Arthur Abraham will spend the coming 3–4 weeks in Armenia. At a press conference with journalists in Yerevan today, the well-known boxer said there are two purposes for his visit to Armenia.
The first, he said, is marriage. Abraham said though the decision to get married isn’t finalized, but the process is “at work.” However, he refused to reveal who his future spouse will be, saying only that she’s “a regular girl.”
The second purpose of his visit is to assist the Yerevan Boxing Sports School named after Vladimir Yengibaryan, where as an adolescent he trained for 4 years.
Abraham, along with his sponsor, Adidas, will provide sports equipment to the tune of 100,000 euros to the school and its students. One part of this donation is already in Armenia, while the rest will arrive here on Tuesday.
