Children ‘Chalked’ Liberty Square

A children’s art event called “My favorite animal” organized by a local center in defense of stray animals (name could not be confirmed in English) took place at Liberty Square in Yerevan at 7 pm on Jun. 18.

There were numerous children at the event (along with their parents and guardians), who drew various animals and nature scenes on the pavement with chalk.

In a statement sent to the press, organizers state that they place great importance on such events, since “they will contribute to the emergence and development of positive and good attitude toward animals among the public and children.”

Participating in the event were children from different orphanages, as well as from World Vision, Shengavit’s creative center for youth and Culture House.

At the end of the event, all the children who participated were given thank you letters.
