New Director Appointed for Nairit Plant in Yerevan

A special general meeting of Nairit Plant CJSC shareholders took place on Jun. 27, during which time the Nairit General Director Vaha Melkonyan’s letter of resignation was approved.

During the same meeting, First Deputy to Nairit General Director, chief engineer Hovik Hakhinyan was appointed as Nairit General Director, according to the Nairit Plant CJSC public relations and press office.

Recall, employees of the plant have protested in the recent past, saying they haven’t been paid for months and demanding assurances that they won’t lose their jobs altogether.
