Yerevan Police Came Too Late: Thieves Rob Former District Councillor’s Home

At 5:30 am on Saturday morning, three masked and armed persons broke into a house in Yerevan’s Malatia-Sebastia administrative district belonging to former Malatia-Sebastia district councillor Aghvan Grigoryan, reports local daily Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun (“Fourth Self-Authority”).

Aghvan Grigoryan currently works at the RA State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre.

There were 4 people in the house during the break-in: Grigoryan, his mother and two sons. Grigoryan’s son Yervand managed to send a SMS to his girlfriend, asking her to call the police immediately. She called 1-02, police arrived on the scene 40 minutes later, after the thieves had ransacked the place and attacked the family.
