Argentine football legend Diego Maradona was taken to hospital on Monday following a car accident near his home in Ezeiza, reports Goal.com.
The Buenos Aires Herald reports that the former Argentina coach was taken to hospital for checks along with his partner Veronica Ojeda, who was also undergoing tests after crashing their car into a bus.
Maradona injured his knee in the accident, whilst his partner was receiving treatment on her hip, and according to reports the former World Cup winner was on his way to visit his mother in hospital after being taken ill.
A medical official said that the new Al Wasl coach in the United Arab Emirates was “perfectly fine.”
