Mammadyarov in Moscow Delivers Baku’s Response to Medvedev’s Karabakh Proposal

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov is on an official visit to Moscow. As reported by Baku-based APA news agency citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mammadyarov will meet with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov today. The parties will exchange views on a range of bilateral and international issues. During the visit, Azerbaijan’s foreign minister will pass on a letter by the Azerbaijani president containing Baku’s official response to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s proposal on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Furthermore, Mammadyarov and Lavrov will exchange documents on the ratification of the state border treaty signed on Sept. 3, 2010. The parties will also sign a consultation program between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Russia.
