It’s already been a week that members of the Prosperous Armenia party have been selling gasoline at significantly less than market prices to residents of Aparan and surrounding villages — urging residents to vote for party leader Gagik Tsarukyan (pictured) during the upcoming elections, one Aparan resident told Epress.am. According to this resident, those selling gasoline in their village previously worked for the Rule of Law party.
At a press conference in Yerevan today, Epress.am asked for comments on this matter from Prosperous Armenia MP Vardan Bostanjyan, who said that Tsarukyan “is simply unable, he would never allow that, let’s say, to buy people in order to succeed.”
“I have been a member of Prosperous Armenia since 2006 and, let me say, it’s ruled out that Gagik Tsarukyan would suddenly buy votes,” he said.
