Nagorno-Karabakh and Transdniestria have ‘Mutual Interests’

On Aug. 31, acting foreign minister of the unrecognized Republic of Nagorno Karabakh Vasily Atajanian welcomed the delegation of the Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic, which had arrived in Nagorno Karabakh to participate in the festive events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the “NKR proclamation,” according to a press statement issued by the NKR authorities. The delegation was headed by TMR foreign minister Vladimir Yastrebchak.

During the meeting, an exchange of opinions on issues of mutual interest took place. The meeting participants discussed issues related to the public-political processes in their states, the prospects of the settlement of the Karabakh and Transdniestrian conflicts and others. Both parties confirmed their commitment to peaceful settlement of the issues.

Also, issues related to further cooperation between both republics were discussed.
