An expedition of what initially was believed to be comprised of 20 people went missing on Mount Aragats in Armenia’s Aragatsotn marz (province) on Sunday. The mountain is considered to be the highest point in the country.
The regional rescue services department assigned a rescue squad and one team of firefighters to the scene.
At around 11:15 pm on the same day, rescuers found what later turned out to be a lost expedition of 48 people, who were all uninjured and brought down safely.
