Armenian National Congress (HAK) leader Levon Ter-Petrossian will be answering questions by journalists and members of the public at 6:30 pm in Yerevan’s Liberty Square on Monday, Oct. 3.
This news follows the announcement of non-stop rallies declared by the opposition and its supporters at its rally on Friday. Opposition activists have since been camping out at Liberty Square, braving the rain and chilly autumn weather, in a move to put more pressure on government officials to resign. Though parliamentary elections are set to take place in 2012, followed by the presidential election in 2013, the Armenian National Congress has made it clear that snap elections is one of its top priorities.
Note, the nonstop rallies are currently slated to last one week.
Ter-Petrossian said he is prepared to answer all questions at the “open press conference” or Q&A tomorrow. Anyone willing to send a question to the opposition bloc may do so either through email ([email protected]), Twitter (@ancongress; can also include hashtag #sept30sharunak) or SMS (+374 93 13 05 15) by 5 pm Monday.
