The public relations department of Armenia’s defense ministry reports that at around 12:50 pm on Oct. 5, Armenian servicemen Henrik Khachatryan, 18, and Khachatur Sukiasyan, 19, received gunshot wounds of varying severity from shots fired by an enemy sniper in the direction of the military unit in the village of Chinar in Armenia’s Tavush marz (province).
Later, disseminated were comments by Armenian defense ministry press secretary David Karapetyan in which he said that Armenian serviceman Yuri Aram Sargsyan was killed in the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh. What happened, according to Karapetyan, shows that Azerbaijan not only ignores calls by the international community to maintain the ceasefire regime, but also endangers the fragile stability of the region.
