The video of Armenia’s entry in the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Dalita’s “Welcome to Armenia,” appeared online on Nov. 8.
Recall, the name of Armenia’s contestant became known on Sept. 17.
Though 135 young performers applied, only 16 were chosen to compete in the final round, which was broadcast live on Armenian television.
The winner, chosen by voting split equally between SMS and jury votes, was Dalita Avanesyan, who was the 12th act to perform on Saturday. Note, Dalita had also applied to participate in last year’s song contest; however, she was able to succeed only this year.
The 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place in Yerevan on Dec. 3 with representatives from 13 countries participating. Armenia will be the fourth among participants to perform.
