International Experts to Design, Plan New Yerevan Zoo

Arriving in Yerevan on Nov. 9, a group of internationally recognized experts will be designing the master plan of the Yerevan Zoo — all on a voluntary basis.

According to the press service of the SunChild Project, among the guests are Director of Amsterdam’s Artis Royal Zoo Haig Balian; former CEO of Wildlife Reserves Singapore (which manages the Singapore Zoological Gardens), world-famous zoo designer Bernard Harrison; zoo planner and architect David Hancocks; General Curator of Amsterdam’s Artis Royal Zoo János Szánthó; former chief zookeeper of Amsterdam’s Artis Royal Zoo Willem Meijlink; Principal Partner at Bernard Harrison and Friends (a zoo design and consultancy firm) Tina Lim Long; landscape architect Thijs de Zeeuw; and light designer Simon Corder.
