Georgia’s President Offered Students Wine from his Private Vineyard

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili on Sunday hosted the first students from Georgia’s winemaking school at his estate in Kvareli (Kakheti region) and offered them wine from his own vineyard.

The first Georgian winemaking school will train 35 students, who competed and were selected from 2,500 applicants. The fact that admissions was highly competitive, according to Saakshvili, proves that there is increased interest in this area by Georgian youth.
