Russian football powerhouse CSKA Moscow is considering signing on Armenian-American footballer, FC Krasnodar forward Yura Movsisyan, reports Life Sports.
According to Sportbox.ru, the Muscovites are eager to pay 5 million euro for the transfer of the FC Krasnodar attacker, who fully fits their transfer philosophy. It is widely known that CSKA is only acquiring talented players who are younger than 25 years old and cost less than 8 million euro, RT reports.
According to Life Sports, Movsisyan’s representatives met with CSKA Moscow chair Yevgeni Giner and discussed his possible transfer.
“CSKA is currently actively searching for a forward, ” a source close to the club’s management told LIfe Sports. “Soon, the team will lose one of its best strikers, Brazilian Vágner Love [Vágner Silva de Souza], and another striker — Tomáš Necid — has injuries. Thus, acquiring a striker is a priority issue for CSKA. Yevgeni Giner is personally monitoring the progress on this matter and is actively involved in the search for a new player.
“Movsisyan played brilliantly this season in FC Krasnodar, as well as in the Armenian national team, which attracted the attention of CSKA Moscow. Yevgeni Giner has even held talks with the player’s agent.”
Recall, Movsisyan was transferred to Krasnodar at the beginning of the year from Danish club Randers. the contract with Krasnodar is valid until 2014. He played 26 matches and scored 8 goals while playing for his club. In the Euro 2012 qualifier, as part of Armenia’s national team, he played 9 matches and scored 4 goals.
