The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs know very well that the ongoing negotiations on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the steps taken do not yield the desired results, said head of the foreign relations department of Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration Novruz Mammadov.
According to him, for 20 years the co-chairs have been making futile visits to the region.
“Is there a need for this group’s activities to continue if one politician from each country cannot join this process and take productive steps? I believe that, considering all this, the co-chairs have to work on developing new and serious work,” he said, reports 1news.az.
The West says, continued Mammadov, that the parties should resolve the issue themselves and the international community will support them, “but this looks ridiculous in the system of international relations,” he said.
