A new mosque is being built in Sakarya, Turkey, to replace the one that collapsed as a result of the 1999 earthquake. The new mosque won’t have the usual dome and its walls will be mostly glass, allowing 80% of those entering the mosque to be able to see the mullah. The building will have excellent acoustics and resemble a man on his knees bending in prayer (known as salat, salah, or namaz), reports Vesti.az, citing the Turkish press.
