Levon Zurabyan, who coordinates the day-to-day affairs of the Armenian National Congress, speaking to local daily Chorrord Inqnishkhanutyun (“Fourth Self-Authority”), said the government’s move to provide 3 liters of cooking oil to poverty-stricken families for the New Year’s holiday reminds him of North Korea.
“The Armenian authorities’ behavior is like North Korean authorities’ behavior: first they lead their own people to extreme poverty then, as a great charitable gesture, they distribute normalized food,” he said.
