Russia Earthquake: Magnitude 6.9 Quake Hits Southeast

An earthquake of 6.9 magnitude hit southeastern Russia near the border with Mongolia on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said, Reuters reports.

The epicenter of the quake was 28 miles (45 km) deep and was about 57 miles (92 km) northeast of Kyzyl, Russia, USGS said.
